Racewalking Australia Carnival Results
For many years, Racewalking Australia only conducted two carnivals each
year.
The annual Lake Burley Griffin Carnival was held each June in
Canberra, the capital of Australia. This carnival is still held and
remains the main event for the Racewalking Australia with a strong team
emphasis. The carnival is nearly 40 years of age and involves up to 300
walkers of all ages.
The other main carnival was held each year in a different State under the auspices of a different member club. This second carnival is still held annually in the August/September period and has its own selection of Federation championships.
In recent years, Racewalking Australia has sponsored further racing
opportunities including a 'Postal Carnival' and 100 km championships.
